Professional Goals

As a choreographer, performer, and teacher, I aim to move, inspire, and motivate others. I plan to perform in a modern dance company, while also working in development. As a business woman, I am passionate about bringing businesses and the arts together, in both educational and administrative ways. 

Biography

Kristen Gajdica (Houston, TX) is working toward a BFA in Modern Dance and a BA in Entrepreneurial Management. Kristen received her early training from Amy Llanes of Rednerrus Feil Dance Company. Kristen held the position of head officer of the Cypress Woods High School Crimson Cadettes Drill Team and continues to choreograph for dance teams around Texas through Crowd Pleasers Dance.

Since coming to TCU, Kristen has been showcased in departmental concerts and at ACDFA, performing in works by TCU faculty Susan Douglas Roberts and Suki John, and guest artists including Jane Weiner, Charolette Boye-Christensen, Sarah Gamblin, Jenny Mendez, and Carrie Hanson. Kristen is the recipient of the Jerry Bywaters Cochran Scholarship for excellence in Modern Dance. Kristen has Administration experience as the Development and Special Events Intern for ADF, and Program Coordinator for Texas Dance Improvisation Festival 2012. 



Kristen currently is serving as president of the XTE Dance Honor Society, vice president of the BGS Business Honor Society and is a member of the TCU Chancellor’s leadership Program.  Kristen looks forward to a career in Dance Performance and Arts Administration.
